  • Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina is Camp Ridgecrest for Boys. This incredible summer camp offers unique experiences just 20 minutes east of Asheville, North Carolina. The camp staff are passionate about helping campers grow the whole self: physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
  • Opportunities for paid ministry are available in many different areas. The greatest need is for camp counselors. The role of a counselor is rooted in service, loving kids unconditionally, and sharing Christ in daily life.
  • Activities include Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Football, Weight Lifting, Archery, Riflery, Crafts, Rocketry, Outdoor Living, Bible Study, Guitar, and more. We have additional positions for activity directors, junior counselors, adventure staff, laundry staff, office staff, photojournalists, and drivers.
  • Base counselor salaries begin at $300/week plus food and lodging. Counselors live in cabins with campers and receive 2.5 days off per two-week session. Internship opportunities are available. Employment runs late May through early August. Counselors must be 18 and finished with their freshman year of college or equivalent.

We need people who enjoy working and living with children and have skills in: backpacking, climbing, mountain biking, whitewater boating, sailing, horseback riding, swimming, environmental education, tennis and arts and crafts.
  • Everyone who works at Mondamin has three basic responsibilities: Teaching skills and leading trips in an outdoor activity. Working directly with kids as a counselor, advisor, and advocate. And participation and influence as a member of the camp community.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at a college or university (or equivalent). Should have experience in and be willing to teach one or more of our activities (some training provided).
  • Salaries are individually determined based on your age, experience and skills. Our salaries compare favorably with most other camps and rise as you prove yourself. All food and lodging is provided. Time off: everyone gets 36 hours per week leave (a day and 2 nights).
